This isn’t going to be well-written because I’m annoyed and don’t feel like taking the time to talk about this in a well-thought statement and I’m really not trying to be rude BUT:
I know there’s a way to “mute” on twitter, but is this available on Facebook? I would LOVE to not see posts about Kavanaugh every 5 seconds and just keep it to when I feel up to it to read/watch CNN 🤗
So many people don’t realize that some of their posts are so offensive because they have no idea what they’re talking about… especially the posts basically saying that people who’ve been raped are damaged and haunted and will never be okay which is so disrespectful and is not true for many. I get that you want to be progressive and I appreciate your intentions in trying to support us, but please stop missing the mark and doing more harm than good with blanket statements. Some people never recover, some people do, and we all have to live with it.
This subject is so important but our experiences are more, so if you don’t know what you’re talking about, please focus on showing your support rather than making generalizations that cause more damage. Our lives are altered but aren’t over. Some people have PTSD, some don’t. Some can form healthy relationships, some can’t. What makes us the same is our experience, not our outcome so please stop with your generalizations and comparisons. We aren’t your victim to shape in the way you best see fit for Facebook likes.
I love them so much because they’re about as sharp as a baseball and their anatomy is ridiculous to the point of them literally being classified as plankton for years because they just sort of get blown around by the ocean and look confused, but because they lay more eggs than ANY OTHER VERTEBRATE IN EXISTENCE, evolution can’t stop them
Why is no big predator coming and gnawing on them?
Their biggest defense is that they’re massive and have super tough skin, but they do get hunted by sharks or sea lions sometimes and they just sort of float there like ‘oh bother’ as it happens
Even funnier, because they eat nothing but jellyfish they’re really low in nutritional value anyway, so they basically survive by being not worth eating because they’re like a big floating rice cracker wrapped in leather.
So basically the only reason natural selection hasn’t taken care if them is because they are the most useless fish
yes, they’ve perfected uselessness to the point of being unstoppable
Why does being in your early 20s feel so much like only having 5 years of your life left in which you need to achieve as much as possible? why do I feel like I have an approaching deadline for success?
